The Mühlbauer classic Gil is an elegant summer hat made of Panama straw (weave: 16-20 knots/cm²).. Panama is one of the last hand-woven straw materials in the world. It is made of the leaf fibres of a palm tree and comes from Ecuador. This piece is decorated with a silk grosgrain ribbon tied on the left side with a bow unique to Mühlbauer – the “Mühlbauer bow”. This style is mainly worn by men, but also much loved by women.
