The shape of the Mühlbauer classic Finn Rix is called a boater in England. In Austria it is known as a Girardi – after the much-loved, always fashionably dressed actor Alexander Girardi (1850-1918). This hat is free from decoration, concentrating on the shape and material, namely highest quality Panama straw (weave: 16-20 knots/cm²). Panama is one of the last hand-woven straw materials in the world. It is made of the leaf fibres of a palm tree and comes from Ecuador. This hat is equally perfect for men and women.
