The Mühlbauer classic Karl is a narrow-brimmed gentleman’s shape generally known as a trilby. Trilby is the name of the heroine in a novella by British author George du Maurier (approx. 1890), who wore a hat in this style. Karl is made from beaver felt, the emperor of all felts. The finest, softest and densest hat felts are made of 100% beaver hair - a quality that cannot be topped in either comfort or feel. So nothing detracts from this first class material the hat remains pure and devoid of all decoration. Karl is worn by men and women.
