The Mühlbauer gentleman’s shape Udo is made of Bowen split, the split leaves of the Pandanut palm native to Southeast Asia. Bowen because it was apparently the British Captain Bown who brought this exotic leaf fibre to Europe. The hat is decorated with a ribbon and the brim trimmed – using Bowen straw. The result is a one-of-a-kind all-in-one piece of pure Bowen straw. This piece of elegant hand crafting elevates the hat to another level while being sustainable, making good use of all leftover material.
