The popular hat Graf Udo is a wide-brimmed gentleman’s shape from the "Tracht" (traditional costume) series. Shape, colour and stylistic details that are typical of traditional headwear in the alpine region have been united in this hat. Therefore the hat is decorated with a wide green silk ribbon that comes together in several folds in the centre back and is then attached to the brim edge. This hat is made of the finest antelope felt. "Antelope" because the felt is soft and smooth like antelope skin. In reality it is made of 100% rabbit hair and counts as one of the densest and best felt qualities available because only the shortest and finest hairs are used in production. The slightly crushed appearance is not just a consciously chosen stylistic detail, but also allows the hat to be folded and packed in a bag without "destroying" it - making it the perfect hat for travel. Graf Udo is generally worn by men, but also loved by women.
