The Mühlbauer hat Graf is a piece from the “Tracht” (Austrian national costume) collection. Shape, colours and stylistic details typical for traditional hats from the alpine region have been brought to play in this piece. Therefore, this hat has a fabric ribbon wrapped round it, dyed and printed by hand by the Austrian indigo printer Koo. The twisted fabric is a stylistic detail, but also has a function: it regulates the crown size. The hat itself is made of an elastic hemp braid. This is stitched into a raw hat cone and then shaped to form the hat. Graf is perfect for open top cars and travel, but also everyday summer wear in town and country.
